Gastronomy at the heart of a European metropolis

With 2,000 years of history and 500 hectares listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Lyon is renowned for its French art of living. Its reputation as the capital of gastronomy has spread around the world. It is one of the most experience-rich stops along the Gastronomy Valley.

Since 2019, the Lyon Metropolitan Area has chosen to join the Global Destination Sustainability (GDS) Index, a performance improvement program aimed at making the business tourism and events industry more sustainable. In 2025, Lyon ranks 1st among French cities and 8th worldwide. In April 2022, ONLYLYON TOURISME ET CONGRÈS was certified ISO 20121.

With the second-largest event venue capacity in France and the second-largest hotel capacity (19,500 rooms), Lyon also ranks as the second French city in the ICCA congress cities ranking.

Eurexpo, with its 140,000 m², is the leading exhibition center in France after Paris and ranks among the Top 14 exhibition venues in Europe.
Sustainable
Located on the edge of the Parc de la Tête d’Or, the Congress Center features bold architecture designed by Renzo Piano. ISO 20121 certified, it offers three auditoriums ranging from 300 to 3,200 seats.
Connected
La Fiducial Asteria complements the LDLC Arena (16,000 seats) and can host professional events for up to 1,500 people in plenary sessions within a modular space.
Legendary
The Matmut Stadium offers 5,000 m² of event spaces with capacities ranging from 50 to 2,000 people, 24,000 seats in the stadium, and panoramic lounges.

The InterContinental Convention Centre at the Grand Hôtel-Dieu, set within a heritage site, offers 1,515 m² of reception and meeting spaces equipped with the latest technologies, as well as nine banquet rooms.

Steeped in history, La Sucrière, located in the Lyon Confluence district, is part of the city’s industrial heritage, with a dual focus on culture and events.
Architectural
The Musée des Confluences, dedicated to the history of life and human societies, features bold contemporary architecture and offers two auditoriums with 310 and 110 seats, as well as meeting and reception rooms for up to 200 people.

Les Halles Paul Bocuse can host between 1,500 and 3,500 participants: a unique and friendly venue for gourmet events.
Surprising
H7 is located in the former Halle Gerland. Its original 1,000 m² nave hosts a wide range of events.
