Description

In front of the majestic façade, discover the history of the estate since it was built in 1250 and the extraordinary architecture of this former stronghold house. Then plunge into the heart of the Château, through 8 centuries of history, with a visit of the old medieval rooms: the courtroom, the dungeon and the guardroom. Continue with a visit to the ageing cellar with its oak barrels, a stroll through the vines to discover the different grape varieties grown on the estate and a visit to the vat room, with its traditional concrete vats and modern stainless steel vats. We'll share our eco-responsible choices: responsible vine growing, organic conversion, biodiversity, agroforestry, permaculture, beehives, etc. and our winemaking philosophy.

Then enjoy the highlight of this visit with the discovery of the Château's prestigious salons, renovated in the 19th century. You'll have the privilege of admiring the lounges decorated with works of art, antiques and designer furniture, the wood-panelled room, the library with its antique books, the billiard room and the smoking room in the pointed tower.

In the Château's lounges, you can take part in a workshop to discover how to match 4 of the estate's wines with Henri Desmoulins' chocolates. You will taste a Chardonnay white wine and three Gamay and/or Gamaret red wines. We'll explain the basics of wine tasting and how to match them with the different ganaches.

This offer is part of the Beaujolais Châteaux Route booklet: from the second Château you visit, enjoy exclusive advantages and privileges!
