Description

The pleasure of this hike is due to its great originality, to the beauty of the landscape and to the emotions that will be aroused by the route in balcony above the gorges. Pierre leads you, by a crossing of a ledge, to enter the cliff, with passages of easy climbing, until reaching the highest point at 545 m. The return is done by several rope abseils which add a nice touch of adrenaline.
The site of Le Jarbonnet is particularly beautiful, overhanging the meanders of the river Ain: calm, green, with the village of Bolozon, opposite, nestled in the hollow of the mountain, dominated by the Mont Balvay and the Berthiand range. The meadows are well arranged at the edge of the river, a hedge festoons all along the banks, horses graze at the foot of the scree. Sometimes a flying wing plays the colorful butterfly on an azure background. Peaceful is the word that comes to this place.
