Description

In order to increase the child's knowledge and curiosity, the ESF offers a fun introduction to snowboarding suitable for children between 6 and 10 years old.
The objective will be a simple introduction to this source of new thrills in a secure environment.
To become a Goomie Rider, you must know about:
turns: crossing in a straight line followed by a curved sideslip, forwards and backwards and passing 2 of the following 3 tests:
- autonomy: use the lifts in a protected environment
- fakie: perform 'falling leaf' side-sliding backwards and forwards.
- basic attitude: make a straight run on a flat board while bending down and standing up straight

For over 10s, after the first experience as a Goomie Rider, you'll want to improve and have more autonomy, you'll want to try and move up to Rookie Rider level.
