Description

The Pass'Portes du Soleil MTB is a mountain bike tour between 1000 and 2450 m altitude, in France and Switzerland, to discover the fabulous Portes du Soleil Moutain Bike area and its breathtaking scenery.

The route takes in between 13 and 15 lifts, depending on the year (of the 24 open all summer). A number of variants are available to enable the strongest riders to go up by mountain bike, and the most experienced to descend on more technical trails. The tour takes place on a single day, with participants choosing to ride on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

The loop is around 80km long, with a downhill profile, around 6000m of D- and 1000m of D+.

This year, Châtel will host the Mountain Bike Show with over 200 internationally renowned brands and free bike tests.

Pass'Portes Gravel: Come and test gravel in the mountains! In 2024, we're repeating the experience with a departure from the show in the center of Châtel. You'll set off for 2 days of mountain gravel between France and Switzerland.

The Pass'Portes can be done in e-MTB, on the classic course or on a special course off the beaten track.

The Pass'Portes Kids - budding mountain bikers are not forgotten! The Pass'Portes Kids, reserved for 9-14 year-olds, offers a special ride supervised by instructors, departing from Morzine, Les Gets or Châtel on Saturday and Sunday.


La Pass'Portes Pédestre - Because Pass'Porteurs don't come alone, Portes du Soleil has thought of their companions! Signposted but unaccompanied walks to discover the region departing from 5 resorts are offered in parallel with the event. Depending on the itinerary, you can enjoy tastings at the farm, take refreshments, discover the local fauna and the unique landscapes of the UNESCO Geopark Chablais...
