This turnkey holiday offers you the opportunity to follow part of the European cultural route in the footsteps of the Huguenots at your own pace, thanks to the various options available for the walking stages. At the end of the second day's walk, you will reach the beautiful village of Les Nonières, which was a stopping place for the Huguenots.
Day 1 Welcome in the late afternoon in Die
Dinner and overnight stay at the inn in Die.
Day 2 Walk around Die: the forest of Justin
19 km stage with a 700 m elevation gain (level 4/5) - estimated duration: 5 hours
This walk allows you to gain height and get an aerial view of your stay in the Haut Diois. You will depart from Die, the northern capital of the Gallo-Roman people of the Voconces and now famous for its Clairette wine. The ascent begins on a wide track. The rest of the walk, which is wilder, takes place on small paths with southern scents, where hikers can enjoy numerous views of the Glandasse mountain and the Haut Diois. The arrival at the Justin cross offers a beautiful panorama of Die and the high plateaus of the Vercors.

Day 3 Walk from Die to Châtillon en Diois
Option 1: Die – Châtillon en Diois: 18.4 km - 1,400 m elevation gain (level 5/5) estimated duration: 6.5 hours
Option 2: Taxi transfer from Die to Valcroissant –
Walk from Valcroissant to Châtillon en Diois: 10.8 km – 800 m elevation gain (level 3/5) estimated duration: 4 hours
During this beautiful hike, you will have the opportunity to discover Notre Dame de Valcroissant, a former 12th-century Cistercian abbey, listed as a Historic Monument since 1971. It is peacefully situated on the banks of the Valcroissant torrent, from which it takes its name. The site is a true haven of peace, surrounded by greenery and at the foot of the impressive cliffs of the Glandasse mountain.

Day 4 Walk around Châtillon en Diois: the balconies of Glandasse
11 km stage with a 400 m elevation gain (level 2/5) estimated duration: 2 hours 45 minutes
This walk can be viewed in two parts.
The first part starts from the old village of Châtillon en Diois and joins the village of Saint Roman via a pretty little balcony path overlooking the Bès basin.
The second part will allow you to discover the typical terroir of the upper Diois as you cross the vineyard. You will then discover the cabins that seem to have sprung up in the heart of the vines.

Day 5 Walk from Châtillon en Diois to Les Nonnières
Option 1: Châtillon en Diois – Les Nonnières via Menée: 17.3 km – 1,250 m elevation gain (level 5/5) – estimated duration: 6 hours 10 minutes
Option 2: Châtillon en Diois – Les Nonnières via Archiane: 11 km – 1,250 m elevation gain (level 4/5) – estimated duration: 5 hours
A balcony walk where you will enter the Archiane cirque, which forms the southern edge of the Glandasse limestone plateau at the southern end of the Vercors massif.
Here, walkers will find an impressive world of heights, with ochre, pink and grey rocks... from which needles, lace and cliffs unfold in all directions. You will reach the beautiful village of Les Nonnières, which was once a stopping place for the Huguenots.

Day 6 Walk around Les Nonnières
9.4 km stage with a 750 m elevation gain (level 4/5) - estimated duration: 3.5 hours
Possible extension: Summit of Beaupuy - 11 km stage with a 965 m elevation gain (level 4/5) - estimated duration: 4 hours 15 minutes
This fairly challenging hike will allow you to end your stay on a high note. You will have the opportunity to climb the Beaupuy mountain and enjoy a unique 360° panorama of the Vercors, the Hauts Plateaux reserve, Mont Aiguille, Grand Veymont, and also Dévoluy with its triptych (Obiou, Grand Ferrand, Pic de Bure), and finally the more distant mountains of Écrins and Belledonne.
On the Serre de Beaupuy, you are in the territory of ibex and chamois.

Day 7 Transfer to Die and departure.
