Description
This long-distance walking route starts in the heart of the Mounts of Cantal in Murat. It continues towards Bredons, then passes by the Plomb du Cantal and follows the old Roman road on the ridges. Then, from plains to valleys, it crosses the pretty medieval village of Montsalvy in the Châtaigneraie Cantalienne.
It ends its journey in Conques, a jewel of Romanesque art. Classified as one of the Most Beautiful Villages in France, the Abbey church of St. Foy and the bridge over the Dourdou have enabled the village to be listed as a World Heritage Site.
