OT - Praz sur Arly

Description

Meet in the morning, where the temperatures are the coolest. After explanations on the breeds of sled dogs we use, the instructions on the canirando, some explanations on the character traits of your four-legged companion who will accompany you during this day. It’s time for the canirando!

This hike with our sled dogs, takes place in several municipalities including Megève and Praz sur Arly, it is also on the border of «the border» of Haute-Savoie and Savoie.

We leave for a hike through the alpine pastures: for the Crêt du Midi loop. A path that also has a lot of history because it is here that the tourist office of Praz sur Arly created its famous «Paths of Smugglers», to illustrate this famous place of smuggling between the 2 Savoy between 1860 and 1923. The smugglers were smugglers: chocolate, sugar, coffee or tobacco. It was a fruitful trade!

The departure is from the parking lot of the Leutaz (Megève) at 1310 m. altitude and we will go up to the top of Ban Rouge (1983 m), a nice drop of almost 700 meters!

You will surely meet the cows and goats of mountain farms, it will also be possible to buy cheese in these alpine farms (tomme, abondance, goat cheeses). It is also not excluded to meet a few marmots who take the pill on the stones at the banks of the rivers..

At the top you will discover an incredible panorama over the whole Massif du Mont-Blanc, but also the Bauges, the Aravis, Platé, the Fiz, the Beaufortain...

Then back to the car with pictures full of head!!
