Description
The neo-Romanesque Basilica of the Sacred Heart is clearly identifiable, with its two characteristic spires rising into the Burgundian sky. The church, inaugurated in 1942, is part of the history of the Bel-Air district, which developed after the arrival of the railroads: a new parish was born. Construction work, halted by the First World War, took a long time. A temporary chapel preceded the present-day basilica. Discover the origins of the Sacré-Coeur cult and how it became popular. Follow an itinerary that highlights stained glass windows and mosaics, veritable picture books and treasures of the church. A cultural tour in partnership with the Sacré-Coeur parish.
