The Northern Alps

With incredible tourist destinations, the Northern Alps are a leader in the field of winter sports and have held the Olympic Games three times: in Chamonix (1924), Grenoble (1968) and Albertville (1992).
The 3 Valleés is the largest skiing area in the world with 600 km of pistes accessible to all levels of skiers. There's also the Portes du Soleil, Paradiski, and the Espace Killy. Ski resorts like Chamonix, Megève, Le Grand-Bornand or La Clusaz charm skiers looking for authenticity and unspoilt natural areas. As for trendy, sport-centred resorts, there's Courchevel, Val Thorens, Tignes, La Plagne, Val d'Isere, Les Arcs, Alpe d'Huez or Les Deux Alpes, combining adrenaline, fiesta and the great outdoors. The village resorts in the Aravis, Vercors, Bauges, Beaufortain, Chartreuse and Vanoise mountains or in the Maurienne or Oisans valleys are little slices of heaven for families and lovers of authentic, lively villages.
Today, visitors can discover the snowy flanks of the Alps as they please. The days of simply skiing are over. There are new winter sports to discover each year: airboard sledding, snowscooting, snowshoeing, dog sledding, Nordic activities, leisure spas, gastronomy, well-being, shopping and more. All of these activities come together for a pleasant winter holiday.

Skiing for young adults and families

The mountain is not only a magnificent playground, but also a place of happiness, winter sports, meet-ups and exchanges.

The resorts roll out the red carpet for youth visitors with special amenities just for them: easy access to the resorts (carpools, shuttles), new activities (toboggan runs, timed slalom, thematic days), festive events, new accommodation types, diverse sports and activities and reasonable prices.
